4 Scandals That Prove We'll Forgive Celebrities for Anything

Everybody loves a scandal, barring the people embroiled in them, of course. The rest of us absolutely cannot get enough. Whether you admit it or not, few things make you feel better about yourself quite as intensely as seeing the people that society places on the highest of pedestals get knocked off of them in spectacular fashion.

Just like anything else, there are limits to what we'll put up with. You're not going to see anyone lobbying to have O.J. Simpson mentioned more frequently during USC broadcasts anytime soon. That ship has sailed. But he's also one of the most extreme examples. More often than not, celebrities dip to lows that a rational person would expect (or hope) they'd never recover from and, somehow, claw their way back into our good graces. For example...

I don't "forgive" Limbaugh. Also: Fuck Chris Brown and fuck Rihanna for enabling him.

was talking to some guys right after the story broke and they said he was done! I told them, not a chance! As long as someone thought he could win some games and fill some seats, he'd be back.

I reminded them of how many chances Steve Howe got. I even predicted that all Vick had to do was go to prison and at some point claim to have found Jayusus! The some people would feel they had to forgive him and try and tell us we should too. I was wrong about that. He didn't even wait to be convicted. After his original arraignment, he immediately told the press he 'found Jesus". I thought that was being a little to obvious. Evidently his lawyer or some PR guy told him to do that. I didn't buy it for a second.

Vick did seem to have worked pretty hard (for him) to stay in shape and get ready to play again. I still thought it was a huge mistake for the Eagles to get sucked into making him their guy. He doesn't have the head to be as great as he could be. They need to get rid of that guy.

You would have seen law enforcement come down hard on him. I'm not even sure Rush's home was searched.

How many people get that heavily into drugs without ever sharing? A normal person would also have the cops trying to prove distribution. Maybe sitting on the info and trying to set him up with a sting.
