She got a gun for protection against him, but forgot he still had the key to her car. He followed her to work, unlocked her car, took her gun out, and then shot her with her own gun as she was coming out of work. This was where I used to work in NY.

the evil gubmint's gonna come and put us in camps........

.....well let's just say it's ironic how her failure to secure those guns safely ended with her own death.

And if she was just lazy or stupid.......oh well........

The only way she gets ANY sympathy from me in this is IF she secured them and he was able to get to them anyway.

6. Blame the victim comes early this year

We don't have a clue about why she had those weapons...

The reported type and number do seem unusual unless she was a shooting enthusiast, but there could be other reasons. They will come out in time.

Not sure if you have kids, but several times I was surprised just how much my kids knew about the "secrets" we had...including where a copy of the safe combo was kept.

Lets be adults here and not blame the victim until there is more factual detail available.

...but that she apparently purchased a large number of quick-load magazines. No one needs that much capacity, unless they're planning to get into an extended shoot-out.

10. I'm not blaming her yet. I'm just saying that IF they were her guns, and IF she failed to

act like any responsible gun owner should and failed to secure them, then she shares in the blame (unless the perp broke into a gun safe or otherwise circumvented safety locks).
