I am still in shock.

Babies, just babies. I will not be able to forget the look of horror of the people there. I will never forget the little boy when asked what was going on in your head when all this happen, just replying "Whoa". I lost it when the President spoke, and have been crying all day. I have been watching the local NYC coverage here, and it is just so sad. God rest their souls!

When I booted up the box and saw the headline at Buzzflash (my home page these days), it was a very bad start to a late day.

All I can think of is the parents going home from the hospital and looking at the gifts they knew their dead children would have loved opening on Xmas morning.

I can't imagine the level of grief.

I don't hate guns, in general. People here in the wild west need their long guns for bears and cougars that get a little too close and start raiding garbage cans. I do hate handguns and I hate the large clips that make them efficient agents of mass murder.

I also realize a hate filled squirrel like this shooter would turn to something else like gasoline if he didn't have access to guns.

I also wouldn't like to be his mother right now, since she knew him best and still bought him those guns.

ETA: I see Mama bought it first. Probably just as well. She'd never be able to show her face in that part of the country again.
