Never an utterance of "suckers and losers" here!
President Biden
@POTUS
During this season of reflection, I'm filled with gratitude for the service members and veterans I’ve met along the way – here at the White House and across America.
It's been the honor of my life to lead you, serve you, care for you, and defend you.

(1,904 posts)... Joe's basic human decency also serves as a glaring contrast to the ingrained malice that defines conservatism.

(1,904 posts)... that the weak minds that are drawn to conservatism cannot cope with abstractions, like "other people", or issues without physical substance, or complexities beyond their limited intellectual capabilities. Their inchoate resentments need a target, so they fling poo at anything they can't – or won't – try to understand. And any factual information that doesn't conform to their narrow world view is "Fake News". Most of them are beyond hope or redemption. In effect, write-offs.
I have no sympathy for them, only contempt.

(61,515 posts)Jimmy Carter followed by Reagan, who at least had the facade of being a 'genial old gentleman' covering his basic meanness.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden followed by trump, who has no redeeming qualities.

(2,223 posts)Of having difficulty getting some of his benefits, until he wrote Joe. Joe called him personally and the difficulties were solved within a week or two.
I think Joe is the real thing. He’s made some mistakes, but who of us hasn’t? I think especially at this point in his life he’s just looking to see how much difference there is that he can make for the people who need him, that’s a product of wisdom.
It’s a shame he didn’t get four more years to do that, it would have been hell to watch him age in his next term, but I can’t help feeling like after all this, he got shivved by his own people, but he’s still out there doing his job.
I’ll tell you this much, we barely deserve Joe, and the maggots sure as hell don’t. I hope our next person with the power to make some good trouble has more of an axe to grind.

Hard to believe folks decided Trump was the next step, but the sexism is STRONG in this country.

Am I misremembering, but didn’t President Obama speak to the nation before he left office?

Vets better pull their heads out of their butts and start paying attention to the enemy within. They took an oath to the Constitution and their military leaders laid it out for them before the election, but the majority voted for an insurrectionist!
You can not make this stuff up.

Too bad MAGAts don't listen to them.

(34,544 posts)Just love him. How lucky that I got to be on the earth as the same time as him, Obama, HRC, Bill, Gore, Carter, Harris and Mondale.
I fear that at 51 - I will never again get to see a good soul leading America.

(26,331 posts)I am beyond bereft that his time in office is coming to an end. He has worked his ass off for us, and if anyone ever deserved a second term, it is Joe Biden.

Shame on our fourth estate for treating this wonderful man and excellent president so terribly. Shame!
