My wingnut co-worker actually said that to me today. That it was Obama's secret plan to have every gun in the U.S. registered with the United Nations, so that they could come and take them away. This is the kind of mentality that we're dealing with, folks. The ones who would choose their precious firearms and conspiracy theories over dead children.

Just last night, Larry O'Donnell had on the parents of a young black kid in Florida who was killed by a white guy with a concealed-carry permit because the music on his car stereo was too loud. Seriously. Now more kids, younger ones, are dead. How many more children need to die before these gun nuts get a clue?

They really think the gubmint is gunna come and take their guns.

15. There is a UN Small Arms Treaty that the US State Dept endorsed last month.

It would track arms sales to international terrorists.

Of course wingnuts blew the Treaty out of proportion - a Treaty that does not apply to intra-US arms sales.
