I believe this has be the most emotionally scarring event for Americans since 9-11.

This is not to take away from the victims of other mass shootings, from devastating natural disasters such as Katrina, from plane crashes, from every time one of our servicemen or service women were killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. All those were horrific, horrific tragedies that hurt deeply.

But this was so utterly senseless. Just so incredibly beyond all understanding. It's just haunting. I'm deeply shaken by it, and I know many others are too.

2. My body hasn't figured out what to do. First, I'm tense...then, I'm limp and now,

I have a horrid headache. I can't get the parents and the siblings/grandparents out of my mind. Such a beautiful time of their lives and so innocent. I have made my mind up that I'm going to fight for reform. This has got to end.

Now, I'm back to tense.

people will forget about it like all the other horrible mass murders. I mentioned the Oregon mall shooting today and it had already been forgotten by those I was talking with. Who remembers the other school shootings that took place after Columbine?

Nothing will get done, nothing will change, and another horrific shooting will happen again someday..... It will be all talk and no action once again.

. . . . . . . . . .

If not NOW, when???

4. It is the horrific violence on such innocent children, and so sad and frightening this can happen.

It makes me wonder what's next, and how many monsters like this are wandering around. There is so much gun violence here we practically need a separate news hour for it, hardly a day goes by someone isn't shot up with a gun. And sometimes it's just joy killing. Just how much more violent will this society become.

I keep thinking of those kindergarteners in that room getting picked off one by one. Those poor little frightened kids. My heart and soul aches.

He went through this already. Lots of commuters to NYC from the Fairfield County area died on 9/11. He dealt with that in 2001. Then the hurricanes, Irene and Sandy. Now this. It is just all too much.

But this fucking guy had to take some real time to execute 20 children.

They weren't physically able to run away.

My heart is broken. I cannot stop crying.

12. I'm still scarred from Columbine

Numb for a long, long time.

The lunatics are targeting our babys now?

Pardon me. I would get sick, but I'm too numb.

Gun laws are written at the state level. ALEC writes our nation's state laws. Our legislators don't even read the bills that are handed to them to vote on anymore.

There is no model legislation to stop this from happening again. So it will keep happening. Again and again.

I'm numb.

Which is sadder: that so many people like you will be scarred by this, or that so many like me have given up trying to keep the murders straight in my head because there are so damn many and they keep coming...
