Could they not have put human decency first for ONE day?

(22,772 posts)everyone's problem. Their fear and paranoia is inflicted upon the rest of the country. The life, liberty and pursuit of happiness of our children should never interfere with the tri-corner hat's crew to fetishize their guns and automatic weapons and hate.

(50,254 posts)Firstly, it was almost exclusively the gun fetishists that were hogging the airwaves yesterday, caring more about "winning the news cycle" than they ever would have about the lives of those children.
Secondly, it's not insensitive to argue, after a massacre, that there should be fewer guns around for people to massacre children WITH. It's the height of insensitivity(and indeed, of total moral numbness)to put defending gun rights before any and all other thoughts at a time like this.
They should have just been human about it and left this alone until Monday.
