Christian Radio Host: God Didn’t Stop CT Shooting Because We Took Prayer Out Of Classroom

Christian radio host Bryan Fischer took to his American Family Association radio show this afternoon to say that God didn’t stop the horrific Connecticut elementary school shooting spree because he does not go “where he is not wanted.”

Fischer made the case that, in his mind, God would have protected the shooting victims had there been a system of school prayer and a respect for the Ten Commandments in public classrooms.

“Where was God when all of this went down?” Fischer began. “Here’s the bottom line: God is not going to go where he is not wanted.”

He explained: “We’ve spent 50 years telling God to get lost. Telling God we do not want you in our schools. We do not want to pray to in our schools. We do not want to pray to you before football games. We do not want to pray to you before graduation…. We don’t want your word read in our schools.”

And so, Fischer said, “God would be glad to say to us, ‘Hey, I’d be glad to protect your children, but you’ve got to invite me back into your world first. I’m not going to go where I’m not wanted. I am a gentleman.’”

I can't picture any deity who is gentle letting 26 people, 20 of them innocent and defenseless children, be gunned down in cold blood.

I remain hopeful that these disfunctional fundy fanatic religions will at long last be discredited, rejected, and banished forever from the hearts and minds of all of Earth's people.

This type of reasoning is disgusting. What? Five year olds did something that warranted execution-style murder? These kind of people are always blaming something that has nothing to do with the situation. Blame the shooter and whatever was going through his sick mind. That's it.

Which means he/she/it knew when this would happen and being all powerful could have stopped it yet did not meaning god does not care or give a shit or likes seeing children slaughtered.

Another way one could look at it is Karma, see our Government is tearing assing around the world flying drowns around and killing kids who did nothing every single day yet there is no outrage. Perhaps this is a bit of payback for what we are doing to other people’s children?

Another way to look at it is that the AFA is a bunch of ignorant superstitious fucknuts who need to shut the fuck up and the problem really lies in the ability of any idiot to easily obtain guns and ammo in America easier than they can obtain healthcare, shelter or a meal.
