We need to know who has guns, that they're licensed and periodically renewed. Transfer of title if sold or given away. Plus, we need to know the owners are tested in some way. Can you imagine being given the right to drive by mere ownership of a vehicle? imho

It's my obligation to defend myself and my family. It's also my wife's obligation. And yours if you have a family.

It's in the constitution.

As a decent human being you have the responsibility to defend your family, along the spectrum whose upper limit of violence is determined by you.

The 2nd gives you the choice to use firearms but does not mandate their use. It also does not allow the choice to be taken away from others because some folks feel icky.

Every right has limitations, even free speech.

I think most of us here probably feel the current minimal limitations on gun ownership are insufficient.

With a "well regulated" militia?

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

I guess that is open to many many interpretations.

It is so easy to kill someone with a gun, isn't it? Accidentally or on purpose.

Perhaps you would enjoy the gungeon forum more?

The rest of us are trying to process the latest national tragedy.

As usual, it is gun related.
