An apology and a suggestion.

1. I was absolutely on fire yesterday, and not in a good way. That red haze at the periphery of your perspective that you know means you're not entirely in control of yourself? All day, and worse by degrees as the horrid news rolled in. I spoke rudely and harshly to a whole slew of people here yesterday, and I want to apologize for that. I'm not backing off a word I said about changes being necessary around here, but that's a far cry from going off on people because I was upset. We were all upset. No excuse, but I hope you understand. I'm sorry.

2. (donning best Samuel L. Jackson voice) Go. The fuck. Outside. After yesterday, anyone who voluntarily squats in front of a computer monitor or does the 9/11 thing and watches grim television coverage all day needs their head examined. Go. The fuck. Outside. Do something else. Be elsewhere than anywhere you can see this message. All this shit will be here tomorrow. It always is.

Do it, mother****er!

She nudged her hanging-from-hook-leash and gave me a significant look. Time to obey a furover lord. Fresh air and grey skies and a happy dog.
