ENOUGH. I hope the gun worshipers get it through their thick fucking skulls that GUNS DO KILL PEOPLE!!!! Damn it. Isn't there enough tragedy in the world without adding what happened yesterday to the list of the ultimate horrors of life?

The question is: If this fucking gun nut had been armed with a damned kitchen knife instead...tell me how many would have died???? Maybe his parents, maybe not, maybe an administrator or teacher would have gotten a few cuts subduing the fucking asshole...but the CHILDREN WOULD HAVE GONE HOME YESTERDAY -- ALL OF THEM -- AFTER A SCARY DAY AT SCHOOL....and a hell of a lot of parents, relatives and friends would be having a wonderful holiday time this year.

LIKE I SAID: FUCK THAT SHIT. I HATE GUNS AND ALWAYS HAVE -- they are implements of VIOLENCE -- no matter how used. Control them, ban most of them, whatever. Hasn't there been enough damage???

Yesterday was really rough for me. One of my dearest friends and neighbors is a recently retired kindergarten teacher. I sat with her in her living room and we cried and watched the news. Both of us are in total shock over the events that took place.

14. I always love when people bring up the whole "well why don't we just ban -insert object-

since they all kill too!" We don't ban knives because they serve other purposes. Yes, they kill, but they also cut, and are useful everyday tools for everyday living. What else does a gun do? A gun's purpose is to kill. That's it. That's what it was made for. The ONLY other thing a gun can do is make a pretty paperweight. These people never give me any other reason as to why they are needed.

Some of it may be reasonable -- such as those who righteously hunt. My first husband was raised in the hills of Tennessee. He was a poor boy and was taught to hunt for food. When he went hunting, any and all animals that he killed, were field cleaned, packed in ice and brought to the butcher at a meat locker and we used the meat. I cooked venison all the time and could do it without any gamey taste. So, yes, that is a legit purpose for a gun. But a fucking arsenal???? Just to make one feel like King Kong??? ...Robocop ...or the Terminator??
