I'm taking a break, I can't deal with all this weird energy around all this gun talk...
I tried posting a few things that I thought would be welcomed on DU.... but the energy behind the responses was starting to weird me out.
I Don't like guns! I don't get along with those that love them, and I don't even come close to understanding why people do love them.
A friend of mine handed me his gun once for me to hold and I immediately wanted to put it down. There is a strange vibe that comes along with guns... they are more than just chunks of metal. They have a dark, dark history and they represent to me a violence that I am not comfortable with. I have no right trying to hold a conversation with anybody that has an obsession with guns... my responses are naive and uneducated.
I think I will take a break from DU for a while... at least until things start to calm down regarding the gun stuff -
