Police arrest man accused of making school-shooting threats at Winter Park High
Winter Park Police have arrested a 24-year-old man accused of prompting a security scare this week at Winter Park High School by posting a shooting threat on a student's Facebook page.
Jeremy Robert Chilik was arrested early Saturday and taken to the Seminole County jail on charges of transmitting a written threat to kill or do bodily injury — a second degree felony.
Chilik threatened to "shoot up the place" on Thursday — a message that put the school on lockdown and sent spooked parents to pick up their children.
A judge set his bond at $2,500 and ordered Chilik not to have contact with the victim or school.
