Mentally ill with access to guns

I have an uncle who has had TWO counte em TWO armed stand offs with police in NH. I am not close to him but I know that he has had drug and mental health problems all his life.

After the first armed stand off he GOT HIS GUNS BACK. Because it is his right in NH to have guns and the police have no right to keep you away from your guns.

You can walk in to Walmart and just buy a gun no questions asked.

I dont know if he got the guns back after the second armed stand off. But he really wouldnt have to, because there is nothing to stop him from buying more anyway.

My uncle is a time bomb.

The police know it, and are powerless to do anything about it unless there is a specific spoken threat.

And that is just ONE person in NH

Please see Jackpine Radical's excellent post on the difficulty of getting a person committed, or declared incompetent.

and hope he gets the help he needs but since this is I'm sure about the tragedy in CT, are you implying the shooter's mother was mentally ill?
