Depression sucks. Cry for no obvious reason but when I should be crying all I can get is a lump in my throat. What war on christmas. From which side?? Believe this lump I have will prevent me from speaking without my voice getting choked up then I might. Guys it's okay to do so.

I cried when I first heard the news.

I have been able to read and watch everything without breaking down again, but this got me.

There can be no more emotional body-blow than the latest one just delivered.

Everything is not as it seems.. these things are not random... there are guilty people behind the scenes.. pulling the strings.

The truth will come out... this is what 2012 is all about.

I won't be able to sleep again tonight.

Yesterday I just had this image in my mind of the presents the parents must have already purchased and hidden, the excitement of the little ones making Christmas things in school to give to Mommy and Daddy.......oh, lord, what will it take to never have this happen again? Just tell me. I'm on board with whatever it will take.

Well, I am sad about the murders of these children and adults in Conn, this weekend, but I am sorry: sad songs, pretty poems, shaking of the heads and words like tragic, horrifying, sickening will not work. Hasn't worked for years, hundreds of years. 1st school massacre happened in 1764, and throughout the years continued to happen, and will happen again, unless instead of the sad songs, pretty poems, shaking of the heads and words like tragic, horrifying, sickening, we offer up assistance with upgraded mental health approaches. Let's let our teachers and caregivers be the first line of defense. Let's let them report to authorities misguided/abused/disturbed/unruly children properly without having the teacher fear for their jobs, have them become scapegoats or have government interference. Lets bring more research money into mental health issues, we spend billions on cancer treatments and discoveries, lets do this for mental health issues. I AM NOT a gun owner, but GUN CONTROL WILL NOT SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. Awareness of guns in the home, education on keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, locking guns, eliminating the sale of guns at shows and through the mail. This is the approach we need, and we need as a nation to get together and do it now before another Sandy Hook happens again, not after....
