His supporters like to wear t shirts that paint President Obama as Hitler in front of another enemy's flag. Hmmm - yet no picture or video exist of the President giving a speech in front of an enemy flag.

So this ,an is proud of one of America's enemies?

Why does Ron Paul hate the victory of the USA over our enemy, the Confederate States of America?

This is the Confederate Flag:

But many others used this:

I get the dog whistle blown by the Paul campaign - really I do - but I also grow weary of people using the Battle Flag as the Flag of the Confederacy.

you tell me where this was?

Was this in South Carolina this past week? South Carolina is probably the worst the South has to offer. I lived there for a few months and came back to my home state of Tennessee because South Carolina made Tennessee look like New York.

13. Where would anyone get the idea that seccession was about slavery

Maybe because it was?
They didn't just want to keep slavery, they insisted on expanding it to all other states and territories. They even wanted the citizens of non-slave holding states to censor any negative views on slavery.
Lincoln said slavery was wrong, but also had no legal means by which to end it and repeatedly stated this.
The southern states seceded before he took office, and seized federal property within their borders. Their own secession statements make plain that slavery was the reason for succession.
Then they chose to fire on Fort Sumter.

I made the mistake of listening to this POS.

Don't hate--educate. Threads like this are essential. Paul as POTUS is unthinkable, for many more reasons than his overt racism.

To educate these people makes me think I'm giving in to their laziness. I take the initiative to do my own research...we should be adult enough to access the information that's out there.

but a significant portion of our adult population is functionally illiterate (research estimates vary from 42 to 47%). What's the harm in sharing your cognitive and critical thinking skills with others?
