UPDATE: National Public Radio only has 216 days (as of 1/23/12) to lead every hourly newscast with the names Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum or Ron Paul! That is- 20 "top-of-the-hour" headline newscasts times 216... that's only 4,320 +/- more chances they can lead with "the potential Republican nominee"!!!

Get crackin', NPR!!!

listening to a fascinating interview on Fresh Air as the author of God's Jury: The Inquisition and the Making of the Modern World made some very telling connections between the Inquisition and the modern day use of interrogation.

The comments he was making about what our government and military seem to think is acceptable behavior seemed so . . . oh, I dunno . . . liberal.

How could I have been SO wrong? Obviously NPR is just a mouthpiece for the Republican party and the conservative agenda.

Diane Rehm interviewing Gail Collins about her book on William Henry Harrison.

Then, after Fresh Air-- what an incredible waste of time listening to Robin Young talking about internet casinos and the Year of the Dragon. (Our Governor, btw, is going all out to bring more gambling to New York.)

Oops! In all of that someone mentioned the primaries. Damn them sticking actual news in the middle of interesting stuff.

Fucking Republicans!

75% of their shows lead with the RNC primary race... On Point, Tell Me More, TOTN, Morning Edition, All Things Considered, etc.

The Diane Rehm Show is an exception when she herself hosts it- but with Katty Kay, Steven Roberts or Susan whatshername from USA Today it sinks back as low as Gwen Offals "Washington Whores On Parade"

Fresh Air and others concentrate more on arts & literature.

Unfortunately- it is the only "mainstream media" i can watch without cable.

So I guess they got your memo.

But why WOULDN'T they lead with the GOP primary race? It involves a major political party choosing a candidate to be the President of the United States. It'd be more suspect if they didn't cover it, IMO.

What are they supposed to do, cover the DNC primary as well? Christ, it's the biggest thing going on right now. If you don't like it, bury your head in the sand for the next three months.
