With the crazy teabaggers opposing everything that we have made a "deal" with - and ending up owning the fiscal cliff.

knowing the majority of their own party will be voting against it. They had vowed not to do that.

so it passes with most democrats and a few republicans, but most republicans can still say they voted against it.

the house majority is seriously dysfunctional so it's not clear what will happen.

If needed a new petition could be filed in the new Congress

The tea party already voted down a deal by the Speaker of the house. Why would they not vote down a deal by McConnell?

19. From MSNBC's Chuck Todd:

1) Mitch Mconnell and the Senate GOP wanted a deal.

2) Obama does not want to go over cliff.

3) Chuck Todd says doomsday has only been delayed, because sequester will still come up in March combined with the debt ceiling talks and budget talks. March could be a bad month

4) No winners. White-House has GOP helping them raise taxes. Taxes are going up on 1.4% of the population.

5) Senate vote is important. Todd says if the deal has 80 senate votes it probably passes the Senate. If it only has 55-60, it probably does not.

The Senate likely will not be able to vote on it tonight. It is logistically impossible. He says to look for a vote around 3AM or 10AM tomorrow before it moves to the house.

Chuck Todd, very concerned the bill will not pass the House without a huge majority in the Senate.

The AFLCIO and the Heritage foundation are both against the bill. That could scare away some Dems and GOPers from voting for it. Could be a factor in the house.

1) Bill will pass the Senate

2) He says the bill will pass the house

3) He says its good that neither party is in love with it.

4) Dems gave in on estate tax

5) Dems gave in on length of delay of budget cuts

6) Fiscal cliff will be avoided.

7) Biden trying to sell deal to Dems
