my local news channel (NBC affiliate) just did a story on how your paycheck will be smaller because the government raised your taxes.

the payroll tax. the temporary tax.

they didn't take one second to explain that this was temporary tax relief to bolster the economy or that the tax was

used to fund social security.

they didn't mention that people only experienced this tax break for two years.

the whole story was about what the government is taking from you.

person after person bitching about the loss of money in their paychecks....

or the fact that Most of those whose "taxes went up" in the fiscal cliff negotiations don't have an increase in THEIR social security "payments"? That, after approximately 110K, the pay a flat tax???
