Paul Ryan co-sponsors federal fetal personhood bill

Paul Ryan co-sponsors federal fetal personhood bill

by DownstateDemocrat

Former Republican vice-presidential nominee and Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI) has co-sponsored a federal "fetal personhood" bill, which gives zygotes the same legal rights of people from the moment of fertilization and outlaws not just abortion but also some forms of birth control and in vitro fertilization.

Ryan is scheduled to give the keynote speech at a gala organized by the Susan B. Anthony List, an anti-abortion organization, in April.

Here's the report from Wisconsin progressive blogger Lisa Mux, who noted that so-called "fetal personhood" measures are so extreme, that Mississippi, one of the most socially conservative states in the country, rejected a "fetal personhood" amendment to that state's constitution.

Paul Ryan is back to being anti-woman once again.

I thought he was supposed to be smart and a numbers guy. He doesn't get that four years from now even more Americans will find his position on this CRAZY!!!!???
What is with these people? Their answer to the country's stunning rejection of their hatred of women, immigrants, children and the elderly is to double down on all of it and then threaten them with guns.

on the national stage ever again. Hopefully, this kind of extreme conservative bullshit will keep him from ever becoming the R nominee.
