2. Well, abortion is legal and gay marriage is moving toward the norm.

And we're still here. So either god's aim is bad, god doesn't care, or god isn't on their side. Strangely it never occurs to these asshats that consistently failing to be correct about anything whatsoever might mean that no deities are on their side, or that losing almost consistently means those same higher powers might be actively opposing them. (Assuming we accept their premise that higher powers exist)
