Just waiting for the 'small government' hypocrites

to pass laws telling me what I should and can do if I am pregnant.
Then I will eagerly await their new gun laws that at some point will probably demand that I carry a gun under the pain of arrest.

They have short arms when they don't like some laws that they see as intrusions. However, their reach is infinite when THEY decide to dabble in personal business.

Go.Away!

That when many conservatives say, "I believe that the individual should be able to do as he or she likes"; what they actually mean is"I believe that the individual should be able to do as he or she likes, insofar as I, personally, approve of what they are doing." Or, to put that more succinctly, "I do not believe that the individual should be able to do as he or she likes."

Similarly, when they say, "I believe that the individual should be able to speak as he or she likes"; they mean "I believe that the individual should be able to speak as he or she likes, insofar as I approve of what they are saying"; which is another way of saying "I do not believe in freedom of speech."
