William Fulton, Miller bodyguard and FBI informant, brags about conning Alaska right wingers

This is almost too funny.

William Fulton, the former Joe Miller bodyguard and FBI informant against Fairbanks militia leader Schaeffer Cox and associates, hasn't been heard from outside court since around the time he gave away his Anchorage military surplus shop and went undercover. Now, with Cox assured to be in prison until middle age, Fulton has gone public. In a Huffington Post interview, he says his much-publicized attempt to "arrest" an Anchorage journalist at a 2010 Miller campaign event -- far from embarrassing Fulton -- gave him credibility in the far-right community he was trying to infiltrate for the FBI.

He's still bitter about the drubbing he took from the media after he handcuffed a member of the fourth estate -- an arrest he still defends. "The left-wing completely attacked me, including Huffington Post, you bastards," Fulton said. "I was working for you, you sons of bitches, and nobody knew it."

"As we're finding out that he's winning, I'm in the bathroom putting a bulletproof vest on the guy," William Fulton said in one of several interviews this week. Describing Miller as "paranoid," Fulton said the underdog conservative was afraid he'd be targeted at election headquarters in Anchorage on that August night.

Fulton says he doesn't live in Alaska now but claims he still works undercover for law enforcement -- though his photo is not hard to find online.

"I've spent so many years working right-wing -- I know how they work what they do, I know the terminology. I tried left-wing once and it just didn't work out for me."

This details much of the Schaeffer Cox infiltration.
