Tea Party Fringe Group Develops ‘III Citadel’ An Exclusive Gated Community With Its Own Arms Factory

Now that the fringe of the Tea Party, preppers and others like them have realized that secession isn’t in the cards, they’re turning to plan B. This alternative plan is not as cool as an entire state, but it certainly sounds like every little boy’s dream. It’s a neighborhood that will be surrounded by walls to keep out liberals and the like. It will be set up as its own neighborhood. But this is no Mr. Rogers neighborhood.

The III Citadel will be built on a 20-acre piece of land that’s located in Benewah County, Idaho. An artist’s rendering shows the scale and depth of the plans for the extreme Tea Party patriot Shangri-La. There are three planned residential areas, schools, green space, and even a (firearms) museum. There’s a town square, a farmer’s market, and an amphitheater. The plan boasts an arms factory so you won’t have to leave the secure and assuredly tightly-controlled lifestyle afforded by the “gated” community. The community will be surrounded by several towers and a curtain wall. There will also be a series of three walls so as to protect you from invading government agents.

If the first wall is breached, intruding guvmint revenooers will probably be met by a moat with alligators and Ann Coulter.

Make it past the second wall, and there be zombie patrols, led by Commander and Patriot-au-Gratin Ted Nugent.

But once inside the third wall, you're home free and may explore the piles of uncollected trash, pools of excrement, and chewy nougat.

Fantasy Faire meets Andersonville.

The dummies don't even realize in their effort to keep the government out they're feeding the government coffers. They're little Citadel still resides under the control of the local government and the state government laws. How is their trash going to be collected? How is their Fire protection going to be handled. What about water, phone, sewer gas lines? All that is regulated under some sort of government entity.

They are not subject to city taxes. They won't need garbage, police, fire or sewer. I've lived in remote rural areas where water, fire, etc. were not provided by any government entity.

They will be subject to county and state taxes, but those states are run by baggers and hardly pay any property taxes if they are zoned for agricultural use and or get exemptions. Or religious use, as most of them appear to be.

There are a number of enclaves using the different forms of exemption now, and follow no laws whatsoever that most people do. If they are self-sufficient, they won't do any commerce with outsiders.

I've been told this is a problem for small towns where groups like the Mennonites (not sure if those are the ones, been a while since I spoke with people there) have bought up so much farm land there is little left. They don't do business with any of the people in surrounding towns, they get everything they need from their network of families.

It's tribalism, like Afghanistan or Africa, or patronage type living like some areas of Mexico, Central and Latin America. it's who you are related to that makes life work, not civic government as we've come to know it in the USA or western democracies.

The Koch brothers and others are buying up roads, resources and water, lands on which no one can enter. This has been increasing since 2000. They can do it.

They're talking about several thousand acres, with the inner "citadel" being about 640 acres.

I wondered how they were going to fit 3,500-7,000 people PLUS a gun museum PLUS green space PLUS Glenn Beck's ego into 20 acres, too.

IF they manage to amass some land, it'll be a nice, barren landscape with a few trailers, RVs, and shacks on it, with signs all over the place stating "Future Site of Wall One," "Future Site of Wall Two," "Future Site of Wall Three," "Future Site of Our Lady of the Blessed AR-15 Church," "Future Site of Patriot Power Plant," "Future Site of Forefather Fudge Shoppe," stuff like that.

If you've ever seen the movie "Plagues and Pleasures on the Salton Sea," you'll know what I'm talking about.
