So A Guy Walks Into JC Penny With An Assault Rifle Strapped To His Back

This is 22-year-old Joseph Kelley. The gun is an unloaded AR-15.

"I felt no negative vibes from anyone," Kelley told the Salt Lake Tribune, after these photos snapped by fellow JC Penny shopper Cindy Yorgason went viral. "I think it went rather surprisingly well."

Kelley added that he carries guns to protect people from "criminals, cartels, drug lords" and "evil men." He was also carrying a loaded Glock 19c.

...so I won't.

By actions, however, what a stupid ass thing to do.

Doesn't look too bright, either.

Oh, shit, I went and did it....

when you might run into a "drug lord" or a "cartel" shopping at JC Pennys.

Think of the intelligence level (or lack thereof) you need to make a statement like that.

Then imagine all the lethal firepower that mind now has at its command, thanks to all the pro-gunners out there.

And the NRA is saying MORE guns are the answer?

I would love to go the rallys for these nut jobs with a wood rifle stock that has the barrel removed and replaced with a giant two foot purple dildo. Strap dildo pistols to each hip and walk around.

If one of you young daring sorts wants to take my idea and run with it... just snap some pics and send them to me... I dare ya to do it.

..... JCP is private property. Frankly if I had been there it would not have been a pretty sight. I would have vocally demanded that he leave the store as the gun is making me feel insecure and interfering with my shopping experience.

Does this guy realize how much of an idiot he looks like.

It would have been him that left the store.

If so, I would let JCP know I would not be patronizing their store. The last thing I want when I am shopping is some sociopath with a loaded weapon on the other side of the rack of jeans.

Legally this might be tricky, as the statute might have tried to make "carry" a universally protected right. But I would look upon this as an item under the discretion of the business, in the same manner as "no shirt, no shoes, no service". I would think a business owner would be within their rights as long as they are not discriminating against a real protected class (race, gender, age, etc.)

Yet another reason to shop online, I guess, that is, until UPS starts letting their delivery drivers come to the door brandishing a loaded AK-47.

The gun could be taken from him and used. He is, therefore, endangering people's lives by bringing a dangerous weapon into a place where there are many potential victims.

He should be arrested on those grounds.

Ot at least beaten over the head with a manure-filled sock like a baby seal.
