People I wish I make this stuff up.
My wife works in a lot of health related jobs. In our 10 years of marriage she's basically worked 6 years in some form of Mental health or physical health.
Now she basically needed a "Mental break" after dealing with mentally challenge people so long she was getting burnt out and did telemarketing... (yeah she is kicking herself)
anyways started working with physically challenged people and of course she needs to do a TB test.
New state law requires 2.
Well the first one she did was in Sept and she went for the reading she ended up getting a raised red mark BUT NOT the positive blister read. The doctor said it was negative.
Now to comply with the new state regs she got a second one. Same red raised mark happened. again it was cleared as a Negative test but they suggested to my wife that she might be having a reaction to the additive in the TB test.
She goes to her mother's house to drop something off and asked Mother in law if she has benadryl.
Mother in law demands to know why.
Why explains about the reaction to the TB test it is starting to itch and she wanted some benadryl to deal with it.
Mother in law tells her she needs to get a physical.

(9,933 posts)Please tell me she gave her the benydryl along with the advice. Allergic reactions should be taken seriously.

(9,933 posts)Very strange! It's good to always have some benydryl around just in case. Glad you were able to get some.

And it grates on my nerves when my wife actually throws up "well Mom told me......" in response to anything we are talking about.
I feel your pain....
