the same organization of the past. Until atleast 1970 they didn't take money from gun manufacturers, didn't have lobbying, and stuck to their mission of training and safety classes. Everyone was asleep at the wheel when they turned into a militia type gun manufacturers lobby.

...started selling assault weapons to the general public. The reason the assault weapons manufacturers started selling the murdering machines to the public was because they knew that the Vietnam War was no doubt on the down-wind and they weren't willing to give up that ice cold cash. The blood of all that have been slaughtered in this country with an assault weapon is on the manufacturer's hands.
