Can't entertain anymore criticism of Wasserman-Shultz

I know not everyone likes her here but that woman just layed everything out on the table the other day. Specifically this:

"And the most important thing to remember -- that no matter what we argue about here on this floor -- or in this country -- there is nothing more important than family and friendship. And that should be held on high above all else."

She is for real.

She does not represent the Left's position well when she does the political talk show rounds and someone else from the party should do those shows.

I can't agree with that after hearing this from her. There is no one better to represent the Left in that capacity, IMHO.

I don't get the import.

And Nancy Pelosi really went overboard. Giffords is the "brightest star in the history of the House Of Representatives?"

I don't get that at all.

remarkable drive to survive and to recover. I don't think it was about her voting record. My guess is that 90% of her recovery after the remarkable work done by the surgeons was her effort despite physical and psychic pain. For that I commend her.

... Her message gets lost in stutters, flusters and uhhhhs.

If the party wants to get the message out effectively then they should send a better messenger.

There's no acid test for being a Dem, and she's the picture perfect image of a party leader.

My own Democratic congressman, Ohio's 17th Tim Ryan, is a devout Catholic pro-lifer, but he'll have a job forever if I have anything to do with it.

particularly when compared to Tim Kaine (persona non-grata), who rarely appeared anywhere.

Plus she is a breast cancer survivor and through all that, she has been an incredible bundle of energy. Truly amazing.

The things these women have to deal with and still have the drive to be congresswomen. I am just in awe of them.

Especially Giffords. That such a kind person would be visited with such violence and have to deal with this shit. And still, STILL be positive and want to continue helping people. I'm in awe.

(part of the DLC), but after the 2008 primaries, she shifted focus and went full bore towards a more liberal ideology. Interesting info on her past positions here: http://www.issues2000.org/FL/Debbie_Wasserman_Schultz.htm

take control...

I think she would thrive in that environment. I think she is much more political than legistlative. I see her talents being wasted if she was on the comittee seniority track.

She knows how to get things done and who to call on to get that thing done.

is the Music/Movie industry. That legislation exposed more clearly than anything anyone could say, how money talks in DC. Look at the charts of who voted 'yes' or was planning to, who pushed SOPA and then look at who gives them big checks.

Never liked her, she is way too DLC oriented, and during the Weiner dabacle, she not only did not support him, but came out on a weekend to help the Repukes drive him out of office. Don't know if they were friends, but they were colleagues.

Meantime wide stance and diaper man got the backing of THEIR party and managed to remain in office.
