1. Typical missfires, but I doubt she is running

It could well be that her health issues are more serious than we now know. She announced her intention to resign after the election. Then she was not seen publicly from December 7 to January 2, when she was released from the hospital.

But by far the best reason to think that Clinton is more ill than we would hope is that the right wing has absolutely ridiculed the idea that she has been sick at all. Since they are 180 degrees wrong about everything, I think this could be serious.

3. She had announced that she wanted to step down months ago.

Her stepping down has nothing to do with her health scare. She informally announced it early last year in several interviews. Most SOS do not stay more than one term. The job is physically exhausting. She traveled almost a million miles (Condi Rice actually has the record for over a million miles) and to 112 countries.

If what was told publicly is correct, Hillary will make a full recovery from the blood clot she sustained as a consequence of her fall. As for 2016, only she can decide whether she wants to go through another run or not.
