WHOA! Freeper calls out another freeper's homophobia?

From a Free Republic thread about Sec of Defense Panetta allowing women in combat: (warning: some disturbing language ahead)

Post 13:

Yup. From fudgepackers to dykes.

And look that the reply in post 29:

Kiss my ass. My 18 year old daughter is going into the Marines in August and she is the farthest thing from a dyke. I hate this announcement.

The one slightly reasonable post in a sea of open homophobia like uncensored use of "fag", insulting comparisons like gay people with blind people, and such, even if this user doesn't sound like someone who'd belong to DU (by not condemning use of "dyke&quot .

Not IMHO. It's just calling the other one out on a perceived "sleight" to its daughter. nt Guy Whitey Corngood Jan 2013 #6

Specifically because he/she doesn't want his daughter labeled as being a "dyke." He/she wasn't defending anything other than the daughter, as I see it.

Gawd, they really are vile.

just trying to make clear the daughter isn't "a dyke". I don't know how some people here can actually read through all of that, that board is gross.

Besides, didn't any of the Freepers watch "Space: Above and Beyond" or any of the "Starship Troopers" movies?

Sending your 18 year old daughter into the Marines? No disrepect to the memory of what the USMC USED to be, but I would not do that.

May God protect your child from the Obamanization of the military.

This was her choice and it was quite a surprise. With her high scores they are guiding her into intelligence so hopefully she won't see combat. Then again she still has to get through boot camp.

God bless her! I thank her in advance for her service!

It was homophobia in itself.

The poster was upset with her straight daughter being called a gay slur.
