Gingrich is supposedly deflating. I am disgusted listening to his food stamp comments. What a racist prick. Romney outlasted Perry, Bachmann, Santorum, Paul, while the base hates him. I just don't see how he does it. Is it just that he has more money???

5. Romney doesn't have to "win" the GOP primary

He just has to "survive" it. He has the organization and campaign infrastructure to "survive" the primary but if he becomes the nominee (which IMHO is still more likely than not), it won't be because Republicans love him. If they did, he'd almost certainly have the nomination locked down by now. He and the Republican establishment seemed rather eager to "coronate" him after a presumed SC primary win but things.didn't.go.to.plan and now, unless they can quickly neutralize Gingrich, they're going to be in for a long, drawn-out, and, frankly, bloody primary. All the while, Obama will be pushing his positive agenda and blueprint for a second term and staying above the fray of the GOP primary and get ready for battle when the GE starts in earnest.

And tone-deaf inthe empathy department. A walk in the park compared to Newt, who is malignantly narcisstic/megalomaniacal/ maybe bipolar at the least. Perry and Santorum are corrupt to the core, stupid, and seem to operate on feral cunning. Ron Paul's drug of choice is Ron Paul, I think, and Bachman is nuts.

Money is a big part of Rommney's sucess - but he is capable of planning, and can manage things and make deals. If he has to hire a crowd to cheer for him, he can do that. He's still a horse's ass.
