(64,933 posts)Ravens. Not that I like the Ravens (everyone knows who I am a fan of), but I have always hated the Farty Whiners.

(1,922 posts)I live in the Bay Area but stay pretty clueless. Until I moved out here, I had never (in person) seen anyone who appeared to be an adult wearing a team jersey with someone's name on it. I have been out here eleven years and still have not gotten used to it.

(13,437 posts)I'm surprised there isn't a petition to have him cut from the team before the Super Bowl. He may be the most hated man in SF by sunset.

(103 posts)and not too bright to say that on a San Fran team. Did he really not think that one through? If nothing else, growing up he must have heard at least a few of the abundance of SF/gay jokes.
Still I won't root against SF just because of one jackass, it takes at least two which is why I won't root for Baltimore with Ray "Crying, Father god preaching, shady past" Lewis or Joe "Whiny baby" Flacco. Not to take anything away from their talents and true abilities on the field but I can't stand either of them.

(2,213 posts)I'm sure the local fans will let him know what they think.
You would think an AA would be more sensitive to others but I guess not.
The AA community (especially religious) need to start accepting and understanding our GLBT brothers and sisters.

It's about time the rest of the NFL wised up.

(182,989 posts)and as a CB is has to have the utmost of confidence or at least project it.
Dumbass statement by him but not surprising.
Bucky
(54,087 posts)And do corners really have to project confidence? No one's trying to tackle them.

(182,989 posts)they have a very short shelf life and any slip is exposed.
In three years he will driving a bread truck anyway - 97% of "the league" is out of football money in 3 years.
*not that their is anything wrong with driving a bread truck ....unless you are an idiot like this NFL player

This asshole's opinion was the prevailing attitude in the NFL for years and it's still mostly like that because the league is a haven for right wing fundie nuts but it is getting better.
The rest of the players had positive things to say about the ex-teammate.
