The last thing you want to do is turn this into a media circus. But then again, this is LA. However, if they wanted to guarantee a media shit storm, offering a million bucks certainly does precisely that, and almost certainly little else.

Even as incompetent as the LAPD apparently is, wouldn't be the best to calm people down, pull back the media, and let law enforcement do their jobs unimpeded by circus wagons and clowns?

They are doing exactly the opposite.

5. Who Is Putting Up The Million?.....

Where's the money coming from? The City? The LAPD? A private party?

I hate to say it - but this suggests to me that if somebody/some entity is willing to put up a million bucks to capture this guy - somebody really has something to hide.

Is this reward for his capture - dead or alive?
