Encouraging signs of the approaching Michigan Spring?

The other morning, as I was scraping frost from my car's windows, I could most definitely smell a skunk. First skunk scent of the year. And, today I saw a massive flock of Canadian Geese flying overhead, north to south. It's not as if it's been a hard Winter, but the smell, sight and sounds of those creatures really brings me GREAT joy.

1. Spring is on it's way.

that's what I said to myself when I drove past a skunk sleeping in the middle of the road today.

2. Joisey skunks on the loose too

I saw two skunks this week and was thinking the same thing. It's going to be an early Spring - I hope.

3. And the snow yesterday has me trapped until I can get it plowed.

I cannot shovel my drive. It's just too much for me, although I try. Living in the woods in the winter isn't so great, although it's beautiful here.

I will try to extricate my car probably tomorrow. At least it will be sunny. More snow on Friday, they say. Then, warmer weather next week, projected to be above freezing with some rain. That will be great; take this infernal snow away.
