Billo the Clown threatens Miss Piggy: "You'd better watch it!"

Earlier today, yet another unlikely character parachuted into the news cycle by making an incendiary political comment– this time, the legendary Miss Piggy blasted Fox News, joking that accusing the Muppets of being anti-corporation was “like accusing Fox News of being, you know, news.” This slight did not go unnoticed by Bill O’Reilly, who called Miss Piggy out on the Factor‘s “Reality Check” segment earlier today.

A ventriloquist is going through his usual routine of Fox News jokes, when Billo the Clown in the fourth row stands on his chair and says, "Listen pal, I've heard just about enough of you denigrating Fox News, What makes you think you can stereotype Fox News that way? It's pinheads like you who keep spreading the news that Fox isn't a serious news channel that makes it a laughing stock, all in the name of humor."

Flustered, the ventriloquist begins to apologize, when Billo interrupts him, "You stay out of this, pal. I'm talking to that little bastard on your knee!"

-I think what we're witnessing here is Billo attempting to replicate an idiom known to the humans as "being a good sport" and "taking it in stride". He realizes that he can't win an argument with a puppet so he's "making a joke".

Playing the entire bit for "the folks", including Piggy's "if they take what I say seriously..." line, makes me think the same. I guess Billo learned from Dan Quayle tangling with Murphy Brown.

If Bill-O had gone into 'cut his mic/we're doing it live!' mode, that would be one thing. Sounds more like he was just having a little fun with it.

What is he going to do? Tweet about Miss Piggy supporting the bad guys??

I actually watched the clip, and unlike most of BillO's appearances, this was all in good fun. Yes, it's hard to have fun in the presence of Bill O'Reilly, but he really was attempting to have fun. He said "you'd better watch it" with a smile and a laugh.
