there will be praise and talk of his (their) being a "statesman" and his (their) years of "service to his/her country". (in quotes because I already know we'll hear those exact words and phrases)

Sure, there'll be some mention of controversy but for the most part it will be enabling pieces of shit who will go on and on how in spite of those ah, controversies, Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rice/Powell/Feith/Hadley/Perle/Wolfowitz/Tenet/Goss/Gonzales/Mukasey/Ashcroft/ etc., etc. served their country and how that should be respected.

Because, you know, war criminals deserve our respect.

Barf.

Why these fine men are heroes of the Republic. Without them, Halliburton would only be a shadow of itself today. Blackwater -- or Xe, currently -- would never have reached into the billions of profit-dollars. And this talk of a million Iraqi dead misses the Malthusian point that there is an excess population that the world (especially the world of the non-tax paying mega-wealthy) would well be rid of.

(It's interesting, isn't it, that this gallery of rogues doesn't include Bush or Cheney or Rice. That's right, the people in the cartoon are second stringers! And even in that role, they caused or abetted incalculable damage to the nation and people of Iraq and to the character and gravitas of our own nation.)
