Morning Joe criticizing IRS for silly training videos.

Methinks this will be the start of a movement to get rid of the IRS. Hey, no IRS, much easier for billionaires to avoid paying taxes!

Jesus they aren't hiding it at all anymore. Fascism all the way, all the time....hope we can fight back more effectively than the Polish did when they threw rocks against the invading Wehrmacht's tanks.

And how you made the leap from "criticizing IRS for silly training videos" to "the start of a movement to get rid of the IRS?"

I've noticed a pattern over the years where right wing media will start criticizing something...unions, teachers, govt in general etc. and later it becomes an all out attack.

I am predicting the IRS is next in line for the attack.

Ps and no I don't have a link, I am sorry. They were showing a spoof video made by the IRS for a conference, then they were talking about how the IRS has their own studio for such productions and expressing shock at "the terrible waste of taxpayer money."

I can't see why the IRS should be any different.
As for Morning Joe, I think it's just a government waste story, not the start of a long term attack on the IRS.

I remember back in the 90s, when the republicans started a web page where people could complain about how the IRS "abused" them. I wrote in, pointing out that I paid my taxes, like a good citizen does, so the IRS doesn't bother me. I got a message later got a message from my ISP telling me to "stop harassing people". Nice.

This kind of shit is nothing new. The IRS has long been a whipping boy of the right. Any time they can bash them, they will. But, it's part of a broader attempt to bash the federal government, in general They pick at any sort of "waste", no matter how much of a relative pittance it is. Meanwhile, they ignore the infinitely more egregious waste by their beloved Department of Defense. That's off limits.

$50 K waste by IRS=BAD, BAD, BAD.

Trillions of dollars of waste by the DOD on planes that don't fly, and missile "defense" systems that don't work=crickets...

Picard...not so much.

Babylon 5 is better than any incarnation of Star Trek, in any case.
