I've experienced this now several times, enough that I'm convinced it is real.

Right after reading the DUzy award thread, the very first thread I read afterwards will seem to belong in the DUzy thread. Not that the replies or the thread is particularly witty or funny, but it's how my brain is interpreting it, having just read multiple threads in the DUzy award thread that indeed qualified.

Go ahead, try it.

Although, having pointed it out may prevent the effect. Even so, try it and let us know if you agree or not.

DUzy awards don't just happen, they depend on DUers sending nominations in. If you see something funny, nominate it! Go to the DUzy OP, click the profile, and send a pm.

That being said - yes, in fact, happens to me as well. I go from the DUzy thread to another thread, and there's a funny!

It's totally due to my altered state of perception, having just read a whole bunch of real DUzys.

It's like when you stare at certain images and then look away and still see that image. It's like that. Like reading DU through DUzy-colored glasses.
