When I was growing up I had a neutered male cat who died of breast cancer when he was 20.

When he first found "the lump" he thought nothing of it until it continued to grow and became very painful. By that time it was pretty advanced.

He dismissed it....

I nagged him to the point where he would hang up the phone on me...

It happens in men too...

I've had one. Or six. It depends on how they're counted.

It wasn't as bad as I expected.

Still, a relief. Terrible worry.

Just your mentioning it made me remember.

There was an episode of OZ once where a character, the actor now shilling for an insurance company as the embodiment of something bad that may happen, had breast cancer.

I don't think guys ever really think about our chests unless they aren't big and hard enough or start sagging and/or become Moobs.

had an abortion? Or had a woman in his life who had one? I expect that sort of nonsense from them. Seriously.

Hugs for your loss and grief.

Whether breast cancer victims or male relatives and friends of the victims. I posed a thread about the things I saw helping to organize races over several years, and this was just one of the things that really bothered me. And, it was done on purpose, because their brand is one that has feminized cancer for optimum financial gain. Men in the equation throws a spanner in the works of their pinkwashing.

I am very sorry about your cousin, I, too, have lost people I loved to this disease.

His was pretty aggressive and he fought it hard. He just waited too long to do anything because no one in the family thought it seriously because he was a Man.
