Not sure what that might be in Indianapolis, but games hosted in New Orleans, Detroit, Nashville and Charlotte (NC) would have some killer music. The Canadians did it right during the Olympics.

Mellencamp would be cool, but even cooler would be some jazz, since Indy has a vibrant jazz scene and history. But that ain't gonna happen. Too bad.

she offered up a visual spectacular, and that's what Super Bowl halftime should be about.

Football halftime shows have always been about big scale visuals, and Madonna did it big indeed. I don't even remember what the songs were, but who cares?

By comparison, my favorite band in the world is The Who, and that year was the most disappointing halftime ever. The band phoned it in and Townsend couldn't even smash a guitar. If not for Super Bowl, when?
