Some precinct captain running a caucus hand tabulated the vote count in Minnesota. If that's the case everywhere, we may see another f---ed up state caucus.

(28,086 posts)there have been many snarky remarks from those of us who don't care for Fat Tony about what he might have done with the money but, I don't think there is any real evidence (or nothing made public) that he did anything other than mismanage things.

(95,337 posts)At least you paper trail with the hand count - provided that it's not one person in a room counting by himself sitting next to a shredder.

(28,086 posts)national party. Prominent - mostly sane Republicans like former Governor Arne Carlson and former Senator Dave Durenberger now consider themselve independents. In 2004 when former governor Elmer L. Anderson (also a Republican) died in his 90s there was more wailing from the DFL than the Republicans. Of course, he died right after the 2004 election where he had it clear that he would be voting for Kerry & he had refused to give Timmy Pawlenty his blessing when Timmy first ran for governor.
I'm surprised they don't think Santorum is "too liberal".
