Would you jump out of a plane with no parachute and hope you'll 'just' break your legs?

Because that's basically what the right wing and the media say about the safety net of unemployment benefits, food stamps, and more; it 'entangles' people and traps them so they don't want to find a job, so we need to cut it, and just hope that the 'cuts' and the 'hits' won't be catastrophic, and that's not even saying if the people who have to face these cuts will even find any new means of supporting themselves at all.

These are the same people who talk about the uncertainty of the rich and the business owners, that it needs to be appeased before the economy can grow, so what is done about the uncertainty that poor or the unemployed have? Why do they need to do blind leaps of faith anyway?
