''What I want them to know is just like, John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa. That's the kind of spirit that I have, too.'' (referring to John Wayne, the serial killer, of course.)
''It's your state that fired the shot that was heard around the world! You are the state of Lexington and Concord, you started the battle for liberty right here in your backyard.'' (referring to Lexington and Concord, New Hampshire, of course.)
''I just take the Bible for what it is, I guess, and recognize that I am not a scientist, not trained to be a scientist. I'm not a deep thinker on all of this. I wish I was. I wish I was more knowledgeable, but I'm not a scientist.'' (No, you are most definitely not.)
''Cutting back on foreign aid is one thing. Being reimbursed by nations that we have liberated is another. We should look to Iraq, and Libya, to reimburse us for part of what we have done to liberate these nations.'' (Reimbursement sounds much nicer than looting and plundering.)
''There are hundreds and hundreds of scientists, many of them holding Nobel Prizes, who believe in intelligent design.'' (Uh huh...)

I think my favorite is the howler about how the founding fathers of this country ended slavery.
But we also know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States,

(5,756 posts)"Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn't even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas." -Rep. Michelle Bachmann, April, 2009
Despite the fact there are many, many studies that show carbon dioxide as harmful to the environment when there's too much of it she still said this.
Also, maybe she doesn't understand that connection between people accidentally (or purposefully) dieing from vehicle exhaust fumes - carbon dioxide. There were several stories of this sort of accidental death from the blizzards last winter where this happened.
What a maroon.
