My father died in 1981

I would imagine that if he saw what the United States has become today he'd roll over in his grave. Two things I am certain of are he would not have seen anything Patriotic in the Patriot Act and that I can not imagine how he would have reacted to the knowledge that his Government was spying on him by any means at any level.

The right wing kooks are being watched.

And we Lefties really don't have to worry so much, being that we are not violent and prone to hate.

But yeah, our fathers would not be happy that the government now considers everyone's business to be the government's business.

I'd say those involved in the Occupy movement and medical marijuana patients do have something to worry about.

Being an Occupier from way back, I have been quite aware of Big Brother. And believe me it is wrong for them to be spying on this good old boy.

My previous comment was nothing more than to examine the reality of the situation and a look at all sides.

To change the situation would take an overwhelming majority of the people standing up for our Rights. I don't see that happening because the cons won't object as we Lefties are doing. So, we shall live with this.

Be aware. Be on guard. Don't advocate violence, and we should survive.
