Boy, 4, Who Accidentally Killed Dad 'Doesn't Know That His Father Is Gone'

Boy, 4, Who Accidentally Killed Dad 'Doesn't Know That His Father Is Gone':
A 4-year-old boy who accidentally shot and killed his father still doesn't understand what happened to his dad and is looking for his friend and playmate, the man's mother said.

The accident occurred Friday when Justin Stanfield Thomas, 35, of Phoenix was visiting his former roommate in Prescott Valley, Ariz., with his son, his family said.

Thomas' 4-year-old son, who is currently at home with his mother in Phoenix, still does not understand what happened to his father.

"He doesn't know that his father is gone," the boy's grandmother, Marilyn Andreatta, told ABC News. "He's still waiting to play with him some more."

More at the link- not like there's anyone on earth who can stand to read more, though.

by leaving guns around or hanging out with fellow gun nuts.
Parents pay more attention to electrical outlets and kitchen knives than to guns. When enough of them are sent to prison they will learn.

Can you imagine what growing up is going to be like for that poor boy? I don't even WANT to imagine it.

Gundamentalists defend the indefensible tooth and nail, pushing back against all gun safety legislation with equal fervor, so the simplest of it never sees the light of day.

This veteran would be alive. This child would have a father. But for these money-grubbing assholes who wrap themselves in the Constitution in defense of arms manufacturers' profits.

Fuck them. And fuck US for allowing it.

I'm sure he'll feel better once we explain his freedoms to him. His dad was just the small price we pay to enjoy virtually unfettered access to guns!
