for those interested.
ETA: Here's my quick recap
He supports Snowden, would have done the same thing.
He hopes this will cause another Church commission to investigate what's been going on.
He's concerned that any person can be compromised with surveillance, including politicians. Wonders how many people have access to the information (because Snowden said he himself could have spied on anyone) and the potential for serious abuse.
Questions whether we should classify it as a crime if it's exposing something blatantly unconstitutional.
Hopes this stimulates a serious national discussion about privacy and security.
EDIT: Here is the video, thanks to LttleBlue

(45,319 posts)crimes against Ellsberg-Hunt, Liddy and others broke into his psychiatrist's office and wiretapped him and such- that charges were dropped during the trial. Important stuff. Rumsfeld was part of that whole business as a young fascist.

So there was no such issue.

(185 posts)The Pentagon Papers were mostly an indictment of the Democratic administration of Lyndon B. Johnson. The Pentagon Papers contained plans to invade Vietnam, even though President Johnson had told the public that he had no intention to stage an invasion.

(39,909 posts)He clearly did not read all the Blue LInks on DU defending this latest outrage
or he would know the REAL TRUTH as only some DUers can see it!
He's just working with Nader to suppress the Democratic Vote in 2014.
Besides, this is OLD News,
and nobody was upset when Bush did it.
