The profession of Journalism should be embarased that the Rolling Stone is one of the

best place to look for insightful and enlightening exposes.

Seriously, almost all TV and Cable news is devoted to gotcha journalism or just broadcasting of events.

Newspapers are a joke.

There is no context to the infotainment that passes as news these days.

It's shocking and explains why the US is dissolving right before our eyes.

I thought it was some hippie-mag with articles on pot growing and "free love."

Not anymore.

Like you, WCGreen, I rely on it for "insightful and enlightening exposes."

I'd say we're almost there. The media has served the purpose of the very few. Make no mistake, there will be rulers. Those who have not surrendered to its mainsteam form or the tantalizing ego-pleasing propaganda, but kept themselves grounded and focused, will be in charge in the years to come.

And the many refuse to break the spell, addicted to sensationalism, falling for the emotional triggers, fairy tales and indulge themselves in the fear and fury offered them who react not with reason or reflection, will be reduced in the public square. No longer fit to rule themselves, much less have any meaningful interaction with the matters of public life, but kept busy with fantasies.

that Jon Stewart has the best news program on TV--and it's comedy.

Also that one of the best political interviewers out there is David Letterman--and it's comedy.
