Last month, televangelist Pat Robertson admonished viewers to beware false prophets
despite his own terrible track record of predicting events. Today, Robertson received a question from a 700 Club viewer who wondered about people in her church who speak in tongues and prophesy to people in the congregation about accidents in their future or some great sorrow in their lives as a result of the great judgment of God.
Robertson answered that such works come from the pit of Hell and claimed that these people are trying to dominate other people and so they do it, like, Ive got a word of God from you. He later added that predictive prophecy about disaster is almost always something from the psychic world, its not something from God and called the prophets nutty.

Now wait a second, who's this?
"I guarantee you by the end of 1982 there is going to be a judgment on the world."
"There well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest."
"Mass killings" (But don't worry, it won't be nuclear) in 2007
- All Pat Robertson.
Fire Walk With Me
(38,893 posts)through scientific (empiric) methods such as meditation, devotion, service...and name the empiric, naturally-occurring results "Siddhis". As you directly seek God, you become open to characteristics of the Godhead. It is as natural as breathing. Loving-kindness is one major aspect of this. Expanded vision is another. These things are there, widely accepted.
Some Siddhis are taken from negative sourcing, yes, but this is no absolute whatsoever.
Pat Robertson knows fuck-all and should shut his filthy hole, not only for being wrong about this, but also for his own fear-mongering hate crimes as you have pointed out.
