NYC might restrict 3D-printed guns

City Council member Lewis Fidler plans to introduce a bill that would regulate 3D firearms, according to a report by the New York Daily News.

The proposed measure would require that such weapons be made only by licensed gunsmiths, and that they have identifying numbers on them, the Daily News said.

Fidler’s bill would come less than two months after a law student named Cody Wilson and a group called Defense Distributed released a blueprint to manufacture a handgun almost entirely out of 3D-printed plastic parts, accompanied by a video that showed Wilson firing it. It’s not yet clear how other Council members might stand on the proposal, but according to the Daily News, it is the New York Police Department’s position that gun owners are already required to register their weapons.

"Whenever any of you post in GD, so people can see what you really are. Bookmarked. "

Don't seem to remember being one of 'them' whoever you are talking about.

"Yes, you all organize for gun proliferation here"

So not agreeing with all ideas for laws = wanting more proliferation? Like if I don't like some new abortion law being proposed I want more abortions (like say I am not in favor of banning late term ones I am saying I want more of them and it is not that I am for personal choice?)

Spend some time in the gungeon, rarely post there or read it - my angle for that issue (as someone who does not own a gun) is the same one I have on other issues (like abortions for example, which I also cannot have) is about personal freedom and keeping the government from restricting more freedoms for we the people like they did after 9/11 (and before....)

It's seeking to dismantle them and put more guns in circulation.

and people being killed in huge numbers? I told you what I was going to do, and you said you were proud of your views. Everyone needs to know when gungeon folk claim they are for all of the President's gun proposals except for an assault weapons ban, they are misrepresenting their position. People need to know what the gungeon crowd is actually promoting.

And we already need more guns to fight off our extreme paranoia about outlaws with guns.

More guns!!!

Which, given the type of person who would make and use a 3d gun in the first place, is okay.
