suggests that more people here are concerned about the NSA issue than Snowden. At least going by the thread titles and conversations therein. There are some posters, including me, who aren't quite as exorcised about Snowden's "revaluations", but that certainly doesn't suggest that they aren't participating in a conversation. They may be debating opposite your perspective, but they're certainly not not debating.

Though I don't watch television news, I'm of the opinion that this has been the focus for at least a few days. I do know that Greenwald has been more than a few news programs. Likewise other "civil libertarians". I hear it on NPR. I read it in my local paper.

Congress has taken the issue up and members of Congress have certainly been vociferous.

Just curious, then. What are you actually looking for that you're not finding?

I happen to know exactly what JoeMyGod is and I'm also gay myself. That does not mean that I have to agree with a post that I found to be homophobic with undertones of "he's a wannabe male model" type sentiments.

I was the one that alerted on it. I can be wrong, but trying to cast people as worthy of slander because they are "fake gay" or "gay" or however you want to classify their sexuality just seems like the community bringing more problems onto itself.

That's why I objected, still objected, and well, you pretty much know what I think from here. I'm no "gayer" than you are and no more of a "lesbian" than anyone else is, but I do stand up for what I think is right. We will likely agree more than we will disagree, but that does not mean we agree 100% of the time on every issue.
